Getting To Linate Airport

Northern Italy's famous metropolis, Milan, is served by two airports: Linate and Malpensa. Both offer passengers many amenities and easy transfers to the city of Milan and Rho Fiera Exhibition Ground. 

Milan Linate Airport Transfers

Milan Linate Airport is linked to the rest of the Lombardy region by motorways A1, A4, A51 and A7. Comprising of a single terminal building, the airport offers many options for onward travel. 

By Taxi

Leaving through Exit 5 takes passengers out to the taxi ranks. Travelling by taxi to Rho Fiera Exhibition Ground during trade fairs costs around 55.00 euros for 1 to 4 passengers sharing a private taxi. Travelling from Milan Linate Airport to nearby Milan Malpensa Airport is charged at 52.50 euros for up to 4 people sharing a taxi. Transfers from Milan Linate Airport to central Milan hotels or tourist attractions costs ca. 40.00 euros for the one-way trip. It takes ca. 25 minutes to arrive, depending on traffic at the time of day you travel.

By Car

Car rental at Milan Linate Airport is available from rental stations inside the Arrivals hall, on the ground floor level.

Most car rental companies require their customers to return rental cars to P2 parking lots, linked directly to the terminal via a tunnel. There are drop-boxes, where customers can leave keys and completed documents. Other car rental companies stationed at Milan Linate Airport offer customers free shuttle rides to their offices, which are never far from the terminal.

By Bus or Coach

ATM line 73 connects Milan's Linate Airport with the centre and Rho Fiera Exhibition Ground, as well as a train station, where suburban lines S5 and S6 leave for several districts in Milan. 

For travel on Autostradale buses there is a ticket office on the ground level in the main Arrivals area. This office is open every day from 07.30 to 16.00. Another ticket office for Autostradale bus transfers is open in the Baggage Reclaim area of Arrivals. This ticket office is open daily from 08.00 to 19.00. 

Travelling by bus to central Milan takes 25 minutes and costs 10.00 euros return. From the city, Line 73 ATM buses leave from Duomo Square, where the city's imposing cathedral towers over the centre of Milan. From Mondays to Fridays Line 73 buses leave Duomo Square at 05.03, 05.23, 05.43, 06.00, 06.08, 06.15, 06.21, 06.33, 06.39, 0645, 06.51 and 06.56. Thereafter, ATM line 73 runs at 07.08, 07.20, 07.32, 07.44 and 07.55, then again at 08.07, 08.24 and 08.49 and approximately at the same hours until 23.01, 23.16, 23.31. The final service of the day leaves for the airport at 23.46.

From Milan Linate Airport Line 73 ATM buses leave at 05.30 and 05.30, 06.10, 06.21, 06.31, 06.46 and 06.56, then again at 07.10, 08.01, 08.13, 08.26, 08.39 and 08.51. Throughout the day Line 73 runs at similar hours, until 23.59, the final bus service between Milan Linate Airport and Duomo Square in central Milan.

Autolinea AT2 operates between Milano Piazza Luigi di Savola, Stazione Centrale FS and the airport, leaving at 06.00, 06.15, 06.45 and the same hours until 23.00. The AT2 bus arrives at Milano Piazzale Dateo ten minutes after leaving the city centre, arriving at Milan Linate Airport 15 minutes later. Total travelling time is 25 minutes from city to airport terminal.

AT2 buses leave Milan Linate Airport at 06.30, 07.00, 07.30 and the same hours until 23.30, to arrive 25 minutes later at Milano Stazione Centrale  railway station.

By Train

Suburban train lines S5 and S6 travel between Varese and Treviglio, and Novara/Pioltello-Treviglio, both of which include Segrate train station near Milan Linate Airport. Bus line 73 serves as a shuttle between terminal and train station.
