Buses to and from Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP)

A special bus/rail link also exists via Trenord bus operator. They provide a bus service with their Line S5, which covers the Treviglio-Pioltello-Busto FS/Varese Passante Ferroviario route. Line S5 buses from Milan Malpensa Airport run 14 times per day and start from Busto FS 39 minutes past the hour throughout the day, running between 7.39 am and 8.39 pm.

During off peak times, when Milan traffic is at its fastest, the bus journey into the city centre typically takes just 40 minutes. However, during rush hour this increases to an hour.

Another bus connection between Malpensa and Milan Linate Airport is provided via operator Caronte (www.caronte.eu), where passengers can buy tickets on-board from the driver. Caronte buses from Milan Malpensa Airport leave at 8.45 am, 11.45 am and 3.30 pm every day.

Long-distance buses from Milan Malpensa Airport also cover the rest of the Lombardy region, Liguria, Canton Ticino and Piedmont. Passengers can board buses to Gallarate and Castelnovate at Terminal 1 and buy their ticket on-board their SACO bus.

Passengers travelling to Brescia must book their tickets in advance online at malpensa.aeroporto.viaggi@gmail.com. The service is only available upon request and runs Mondays to Saturdays only.
